If you have been following me here at my blog and at Twitter, you probably know where I am now and why I’m missing in action. To give you an update, JZ and I finally moved into our 4111 house last 4th of July weekend! Woohoo!
We currently do not have internet access yet hence I couldn’t reply to emails and post blogs except for occasional twittering using my iPhone.
Anyway, here’s a sneak peek of our kitchen — pretty much a blank canvas for me.

The backsplash still needs to be designed (which I am currently doing) and installed. Will post more photos later after we unpack our things… We have exciting and maybe trying times ahead.
I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July celebration! Happy Monday!
Much love,
Joyce

Yup! We need to put plants, accessories, rugs, etc! If you are in MN, yes, we can def help you do your kitchen! It was hard work but I definitely learned a lot… I am proud to say I did refinish those kitchen cabinets!

WOW! Amazing work J & J! I love it! Isn’t DIY home improvement so much fun? JB and I have been hooked as well. Our idea of a perfect date these days are @ Lowe’s and then out for sushi or pho to celebrate whatever we’ve accomplished. Keep up the good work guys!

Thanks much Stef! Yup it is so rewarding in a way that it fulfills my inner desire to be an interior designer.
However, DIY stuff isn’t that cheap, you know, but the knowledge I gained and the final output are worth every penny and energy that we put into it. I am excited to see your house one of these days. I don’t think I’ve ever been there when JB was still single. :p

I hear you on that! We usually tackle one major project atleast once a month or maybe two, just to breathe a little financially. Our house is a small humble home, but it’s come such a long way since our early days in it…even when JB had the place all to himself as a bachelor. We figured that we’d keep this for now, until it’s really necessary to move to a bigger place if our family grows. One of these, you’ll be able to see it. I know September’s around the corner, so maybe then. Though we’ll have some family staying over our house, you’re free anytime to do surprise visits as long as you’re in town. =)
